This is the Sared Mesa War Bonnet Headdress, it reflects the spirit of the Red Canyons, and was handmade by Lillian Romero of the Laguna people.
It consists of reddish-maroon colored feathers, wrapped in maroon with black and white base fluffs. The feathers are tipped with black and white fluffs and genuine black horse hair. The brow band and matching rosettes are hand beaded.
Fur drops, also accented with maroon wrap falls from either side under each rosette.
This bonnet is suitable for wearing or you may display it in your home or office to accent the decor.
